Are all your teeth missing, loose or failing?

Full jaw dental implant treatments at DentalCarePlus

At DentalCarePlus our experienced implant dentists perform the full array of full jaw dental implant treatments.

A dental clinician undergoes specialised training to carry out complex full arch dental implant treatments. Success rates are usually very high if carried out by a trained and experienced implant dentist and strict aftercare instructions followed.

As well as GDC Registered Specialists in Oral Surgery, all DentalCarePlus implant dentists are highly experienced in restoring full jaws with dental implant based restorative treatment. Full jaw restoration is very complex and should never be attempted by a dentist without experience in the procedure.

Click the links above for more details

Implant-retained detachable bridge

A bespoke slim-line (horse shoe shaped) bridge fixed to 2 or 4 implants to restore the entire upper, lower or both jaws.

  • The bridge is attached to 4 implants on the upper jaw and 2 or 4 implants on the lower jaw.
  • Made from acrylic with a cobalt chrome framework for added durability.
  • Connected to the implants with ‘click fit’ locator abutments or a titanium bar.

What is the treatment process?

  1. Attend a clinical assessment with 3D CT scan
  2. (if necessary) Preliminary surgery: any remaining teeth are extracted and temporary denture placed and allowed to heal
  3. Implant surgery: Two or four implants are placed to the lower jaw and four implants placed in the upper jaw
  4. Integration: Implant integration with the jaw bone – 3-4 months
  5. Restoration: The bridge is constructed and fixed to the implants.

Benefits (esp. compared to dentures)

  • Horseshoe-shaped, so does not have a plate.
  • Very stable and comfortable. Less gum irritation (than traditional dentures)
