Dental implant FAQs

Can I wear a denture or bridge during dental implant treatment

If the teeth being replaced by dental implants are in the front or visible part of your mouth, you will naturally want some temporary teeth to hide the gaps during the healing period of your dental implant treatment plan.

The gaps are hidden with either a removable denture or a fixed bridge, made from acrylic. It is important that the denture or bridge is fabricated so as not to put any pressure on the dental implants beneath.

Dental implant treatment plans vary in duration and number of appointments on a case by case basis.  If you need to wear a denture or bridge during the healing period, you may expect to require adjustments to the denture or bridge during this period.
