Stephen Garner

Having trained as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Stephen first placed implants into the facial bones and skull in order to support facial prostheses. From there he used dental implants to reconstruct jaws and teeth for patients following trauma and surgery for cancer ablation.

He has now placed upwards of eight thousand implants, restoring the vast majority of these himself, but also working alongside restorative specialists in the rehabilitation of complex cases. His is therefore a very restorative driven approach, and this together with his surgical background, allows dental restorations with excellent functional and aesthetic outcomes.

More recently Stephen has enjoyed teaching post graduate dentists in oral surgery and implantology and brings this love of communication and mentoring to his work.

He is delighted to have now joined the team at DentalcarePlus, a company dedicated to bringing the benefits of implantology to a wider public.

Juan Mesquida Escalas

Juan has been involved in implant dentistry since graduating as a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2005.

He was awarded a Masters (MSc) in Implant Dentistry at ESI Barcelona in 2007.

Juan then undertook a full time 3 year program focusing exclusively on Implant Dentistry at Loma Linda University, California, USA. From 2009-10, he was resident-in-chief on the University's Implant Dentistry Program, involved in both the academic and in-surgery tuition of implant placement and restorations and he is currently an assistant professor at the aforementioned University Implant Dentistry Department.

In 2011, Juan became a Specialist in Implant Dentistry in California, USA.

At the Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, he has twice been awarded the coveted 1st Prize for Best Research Presentation in 2010 (Boston, Massachusetts, USA) and 2011 (Las Vegas, Nevada, USA). This is unprecedented in 30 years of history of the Academy.

Juan is an active member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), American Dental Society of Europe (ADSE) and Academy of Osseointegration (AO). He frequently lectures in the USA, around Europe and other countries.

Juan has a high degree of experience in computer guided implant placement, soft tissue management for improved aesthetics and full mouth rehabilitations with fixed and removable prosthesis.

Carlos Ribo Senden

Doctor of Dental Surgery- Implant Dentist

Carlos is a Graduate of 'Dental Medicine'; Universidad Internacional de Cataluna (UIC), and also a Graduate of the 'Advanced International Program in Implant Dentistry'; New York University College of Dentistry (NYUCD).

Carlos has received awards from the most prestigious academies in dentistry, including The American Academy of Osseointegration, The Greater New York Dental Meeting, The NYU Research Day and received a Diploma in Occlusion from the Frank Spears organisation, Seattle Institute, USA.

He is a Member of the American Academy of Osseointegration and has made presentations at The Greater New York Dental Meeting.

He is an expert in all surgical procedures required for the most complex of dental implant cases, including Sinus Lifts Window and Osteotome (Summers Technique).

Matthew Emmott

BChD (U.Leeds) MFDGP RCS (UK) DipImpDent.RCS (ENG)

Matthew has been practising dentistry for twenty years and implant dentistry for the last ten years. During this time he has undertaken many training courses in advanced restorative dentistry.

Matthew has a wealth of experience in all aspects of Dental Implantology including all types of bone grafting and sinus augmentation, which allows him to treat the most complex cases, predictably achieving aesthetic outcomes.

He has completed the MFGDP(UK) of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2001, and The Advanced Diploma of Implant Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Matthew is passionate about the aesthetics of the restored dental implants and believes strongly that it is not only necessary to provide replacement teeth but those teeth should look natural. For the last seven years he has been involved with the teaching and mentoring of postgraduate dental surgeons.

Matthew is delighted to become a member of the DentalcarePlus team and will be based at the Bristol Clinic, but will also provide occasional cover at the Cornwall & Devon clinic.

Nick Coley

Nick Coley BDS (Lond) Implant Dentist

Nick qualified in 1982 at Kings College London and went on to work for many years in general practice in the City. In 1987 he made the decision to move to Cornwall and during this period he was also a clinical assistant at Derriford Hospital in the Department of Restorative Dentistry, treating broken down and worn dentition, advanced gum disease and medically compromised patients. Nick has recently been invited to tutor students at the Peninsula Dental School in Plymouth.

He is an active member of the ITI and ADI. Over the last 7 years Nick has also undertaken basic and advanced training in the CEREC Cad Cam system. He has trained and is current in facial aesthetics and is able to provide facial rejuvenation treatment.

Nick has been placing implants since 2001 and holds the following post-graduate qualifications:

• Postgraduate Certificate in Restorative Dentistry (2001), Periodontology and Dental Materials at the Eastman Dental Institute, University College London.
• Certificate in Surgical and Prosthetic Implantology in 2002.
• Advanced Certificate in Implantology at the Eastman Dental Institute in 2006.
• Undergoing Diploma in Implant Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons.

Dr Dipa Patel

MBBS(Lond) MRCGP DRCOG DCH DFFP CME | Cert. Dental Sedation

Dipa graduated from University College, London in 2001, qualifying as a medical doctor. She completed her GP training in 2005.

She attained the Certificate in Dental Sedation and Anaesthesia from the Eastman Dental Institute in 2009.

Dipa is involved in training of doctors and dentists at many levels, including postgraduate.
